For the last week or so, my team and I have been working on a project called the Rube Goldberg Machine Project. A RGM is a machine that begins by a simple starting motion - such as dropping a ball or setting off a train of dominos - which will start a chain reaction that isn't touched by hand with the intention of a final goal - such as popping a balloon or trapping a toy monster.
For our RGM, we started by dropping a small marble through a funnel and having it roll down a series of pathways with the intention/goal of hitting over the "bad guy" at the end (a toy).
Our Hypothesis: We predicted we would have 4 failures and 1 success.
The results: We got 3 failures and 2 successes.
From this project, we learned that it isn't always easy to work together, but at the end of the day when everyone gets along, its always worth it in the end.
